BP to develop Venezuela gas field with Trump-linked firms

BP is collaborating with two oil firms linked to the Trump administration on the second phase of Venezuela's Loran gasfield. The licence marks one of the first major foreign investments in the country since the US removed its leader Nicolás Maduro in January. BP's chief executive, Meg O’Neill, called the licence an "important step forward" in working with Caracas.
