Bournemouth confirm signing of Portugal defender Silva
Bournemouth completed the signing of Portugal defender Antonio Silva from Benfica on Saturday, in a deal worth up to £25.7m including add-ons. The 22-year-old centre-back, capped 20 times by Portugal, made 237 appearances for Benfica and played at the 2022 World Cup and Euro 2024. He replaces Marcos Senesi at the Vitality Stadium as Bournemouth strengthen their defence ahead of the new Premier League season.
