Boeing's 20-year jet forecast holds, despite Iran war concerns
Boeing still expects airlines to need 43,625 new aircraft between 2026 and 2045, including 33,545 single-aisle jets. The US planemaker released its forecast on Saturday before the Farnborough Airshow, saying demand remains strong despite slower passenger traffic growth this year and supply shortages. Boeing estimates the industry will start 2026 about 2,000 aircraft short, with China expected to take 21% of deliveries.
