Many people in the UK have a good chance to see the Lyrid meteor shower tonight, with clear skies forecast. The shower peaks on Wednesday, 22 April, and a thin crescent moon means minimal light pollution. Under ideal conditions, expect up to 18 to 20 meteors per hour, with the best viewing after 2am when the radiant rises higher.
