Bayeux Tapestry arrives in UK from France for first time in 1,000 years
The Bayeux Tapestry has made the journey under police escort from northern France. An embroidery, stretching 70 meters in length and illustrating the Norman conquest of 1066, will be exhibited at the British Museum starting September 2025. The museum expects nearly £2.5 million in ticket sales already.
