BAE Systems puts £43m into defence tech
A major investment from BAE Systems aims to speed up new defence technology development and move innovations beyond prototype stages across Europe. BAE Systems, the UK's largest defence company, is committing €50m, about £43.2m, to venture capital funds backing European tech startups. This is part of its Launchpad programme, which helps promising defence innovations get past the prototype stage.
