Aviva catches record £233m in AI-faked claims

Bogus insurance claims are costing everyone more as scammers use new AI tricks to fake accidents and damage. Aviva, the UK insurer, caught a record £233 million in suspect claims during 2025, identifying over 18,400 cases. Fraudsters even used artificial intelligence to generate fake car accident scenes and documents for these claims.
