Austrian Airlines flight 82 was over Romania with 51 passengers and six crew when the alert came, and it diverted to Sofia, Bulgaria's capital. On Sunday night, Bulgaria's air force dispatched a MiG-29 fighter jet to accompany the Airbus A320 as it descended, and passengers were subsequently evacuated. Officials searched the plane and found no threat, so it carried on to Vienna with everyone aboard.
