Australia opens public inquiry into 2025 Hanukkah attack
Australia has begun public hearings into last year's antisemitic shooting that killed 15 people at a Hanukkah event on Sydney's Bondi Beach. The Royal Commission on Antisemitism and Social Cohesion opened its first session on Monday, with chief commissioner Virginia Bell linking the rise in attacks directly to Middle East tensions. The hearings come as Britain's own threat level was raised to severe last week after the Golders Green stabbings.
