Arsenal send an early warning to their title rivals
Champions Arsenal opened their title defence by brushing aside Coventry City 3-0, with Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard scoring inside 49 minutes. Saka, weeks after his World Cup hat-trick against France, added the second as the visitors were outclassed in their first top flight match for 25 years. Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea all start new eras across the opening weekend.
