Apple warns UK app rule changes hurt investment.
The company told the Competition and Markets Authority, Britain's business watchdog, on Wednesday that loosening payment rules will hurt future investment. Regulators want to let app creators point customers toward alternative payment methods outside the official Apple and Google platforms. Apple noted its UK digital marketplace handled £46.5 billion in 2025 sales, taking a cut of under 3.5% from the total.
