Apple smart glasses may skip camera over privacy fears

Apple is reportedly planning to unveil its first smart glasses in June 2027, and is still deciding whether to include a camera. The company is prototyping privacy features due to backlash Meta faced over its Ray-Ban smart glasses. Meta's glasses led to a class action lawsuit in March 2026 after intimate footage was reviewed by contractors without consent.
