Apple and Google Drawn Into UK's Under-16 Social Media Crackdown

Children could face tighter limits on social media, gaming and some online features under planned UK rules. Sir Keir Starmer announced on Monday that under-16s will be blocked from major social networks from early 2027, while ministers consider device-based age checks through smartphone software.
