Anthropic sends engineers to White House over AI ban
Anthropic sent senior technical staff to Washington over the weekend to negotiate with the Trump administration after a federal order forced it to disable its two most powerful AI models worldwide. The export directive, issued Friday, barred any foreign national from using Claude Fable 5 and Mythos 5 on national security grounds, leaving Anthropic unable to separate users and shutting both down for everyone. There is no announced deal yet, with talks still ongoing.
