Andy Burnham to fund local groups with 15% of his pay

Local groups in Makerfield will receive extra funding after part of an MP’s salary is set aside for community projects. Andy Burnham said on Friday he will give 15% of his parliamentary pay to local organisations, continuing a practice he followed during nine years as Greater Manchester mayor. Stubshaw Cross community and sports club will receive the first donation.
