Andy Burnham shifts view on immigrant benefit access

Andy Burnham has now changed his stance on ending a rule stopping immigrants from claiming public funds. As mayor of Greater Manchester, he had repeatedly urged ministers to scrap the "no recourse to public funds" policy. This policy, active since 1999, stops new UK residents from accessing benefits or public housing.
