Andy Burnham promises "unashamedly Labour" government in first speech

Andy Burnham is set to become Labour leader today and will promise a government that puts people and places first. He intends to assert that his administration will demonstrate the resolve necessary to address long-standing problems and advocate for its proposals. Burnham is set to formally assume the role of Prime Minister this coming Monday.
