Andy Burnham hopes Abu Dhabi investors keep Manchester City despite Premier League charges
The Greater Manchester mayor promised to stay out of the legal fight over claims the team falsely boosted its income by more than £900m. Speaking to the BBC on Wednesday, he praised the owners for funding the area around the Etihad stadium and the wider city. Burnham also compared the case to his team Everton, who lost eight points last season for breaking financial limits.
