Almost 26 million Brits have high blood pressure, most unaware
Research has indicated that high blood pressure affects 37% of adults in England, with 59% of those individuals being entirely oblivious to their condition. An investigation involving 1.2 million individuals revealed that just 50% of those identified with hypertension are managing to keep it regulated. Specialists have declared that the present NHS provision for identifying and addressing high blood pressure is "not fit for purpose".
