AI bootcamps in Preston train young people for jobs
In Preston, a new experimental program is providing artificial intelligence education to 70 individuals between the ages of 16 and 24 who are currently disengaged from school, work, or vocational training. The three-week programme teaches participants to build AI tools and understand how businesses use the technology responsibly. After completing the program, opportunities for AI apprenticeships are being offered by collaborating organizations such as JD Sports, a retail company; Heinz, a food producer; and Agilysys, an information technology business.
