Quarter of over-40s unaware of dementia risk factors, survey finds

Millions of people are missing chances to protect their brain health because they don't know common dementia risk factors. A survey for the Alzheimer's Society revealed that 26% of individuals over 40 were unable to identify a single lifestyle choice or medical issue associated with dementia risk. Preventable factors, like high blood pressure, obesity, or hearing loss, may be linked to 45% of dementia cases.
