Reform UK suggests £30 tax cut for HMRC phone waits over 30 minutes

Under a Reform UK government, individuals on hold with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) by phone for over 30 minutes would see their tax bill reduced by £30. Robert Jenrick, Reform's economy spokesman, announced the plan, which would also tie senior HMRC officials' pay to customer service targets. To avoid exploitation, this tax benefit could only be claimed twice per fiscal year.
