90,000 jobs for young unemployed people to be funded by 2029

The government's Jobs Guarantee scheme is projected to establish 90,000 subsidised roles for individuals aged 18 to 24 by 2029. Work and Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden stated that employment forms part of the solution to increasing mental health conditions. Businesses such as Boots and John Lewis will receive public funding to cover the national minimum wage for up to 25 hours weekly over six months.
