74 Essex libraries stop Pride events

This affects 74 libraries across Essex, after the new Reform-led council decided to scale back events for specific groups. Chris Taylor, an LGBTQ+ activist from Rochford, Essex, has started a petition against the ban, which he called "Orwellian". The council says LGBTQ+ books and displays will continue, but event promotion for specific groups is "under review".
