£60m UK funding for new Oxford, London AI
This big investment aims to make artificial intelligence cheaper and more reliable for everyone. On Tuesday, an announcement revealed that two new research facilities, spearheaded by Oxford University and University College London (UCL), are set to receive a collective government grant of up to £60 million. The British Open-ended Learning and Discovery Lab (BOLD) at Oxford University is dedicated to creating AI systems that are transparent and prioritize human interaction in their real-world uses.
