60% UK homes unsold as high mortgage rates bite.

Approximately 60% of properties advertised for sale since January have not yet been purchased, with elevated mortgage interest rates impeding prospective buyers. This lack of buyer demand has pushed agreed sales down 7% compared to last year across the UK. First-time buyers are feeling it most, with average mortgage costs in London up £232 a month.
