More than 30 vehicles collided on the London-bound M20 near Hollingbourne, close to Maidstone, at about 6.40pm on Saturday as thick fog blanketed the road. Two people suffered serious injuries, one of them taken to a London hospital, while paramedics treated eleven others. An air ambulance and fire crews attended. The motorway between junctions eight and nine was shut both ways well into Sunday morning.
