23andMe hack victims to get $46.75m payout
A US judge has ruled that victims of a 2023 data breach at genetics testing company 23andMe will receive a multi-million dollar payout. Chrome Holding, which took over 23andMe after its bankruptcy, must pay $46.75m (£35m) in compensation. The cyberattack revealed highly personal genetic data belonging to as many as 6.9 million individuals.
