17% of UK workers personally fund AI tools for work, Deloitte finds
New research indicates that British employees are personally funding generative AI tools for their work, with expenditure approaching £1 billion annually. The Deloitte UK survey, which polled 25,000 workers, revealed that 17% of those utilising GenAI are personally covering the cost of at least one tool. Many workers are embracing the technology faster than their employers, with 31% using GenAI without their employer's knowledge.
