163,000 UK jobs could disappear this year

Many people in lower-income regions across Britain face job losses due to rising energy prices and supply chain issues. An Item Club report forecasts the UK will lose 163,000 jobs this year, stemming from the Iran war's economic fallout. South Wales and the Humber, two vulnerable areas, are predicted to lose 5,700 and 2,800 jobs by 2026.
