125 firefighters tackled huge South London blaze on Saturday

Around 35 residents were displaced after a fire consumed the roof spaces of converted flats in Mitcham. London Fire Brigade received over 60 calls about the blaze, which started on Saturday, July 25 at 3:10 pm. Firefighters brought the fire under control by 5:52 pm, and no injuries were reported.
