Why does it flood so much?

Flooding in the UK is influenced by several factors, including heavy rainfall, river levels, and coastal tides. Climate change is also contributing to more intense and frequent downpours, increasing the risk. When large amounts of rain, like the 50mm expected, fall on saturated ground, the water has nowhere to go, leading to widespread flooding.
