Why do we categorise people?

This research categorises people by their coffee choices and links them to personality traits. Humans naturally tend to group things and people to make sense of the world around us. It helps us understand and predict behaviour, even if these categories are sometimes oversimplified, as with the black coffee drinker being 'efficient'.
