What's the point of Tree of the Year?
The Woodland Trust's competition highlights the UK's most cherished trees, drawing attention to their history and ecological value. Winning trees often receive a grant to help with their care, ensuring they continue to thrive and provide habitats for local wildlife. This helps preserve natural heritage.
