What's a 'grant scheme'?

A grant scheme is basically a pot of money given by the government or another organisation to help specific groups or businesses. Unlike a loan, you don't have to pay it back. This new Hospitality Grant Scheme is designed to give independent pubs, restaurants, and cafés a financial boost to help them grow and stay open, especially in local communities.
