What's a foldable phone?

Foldable phones are a relatively new type of smartphone that can bend or fold, often transforming from a regular phone size into a larger tablet-like screen. Huawei's new Mate XT2, for example, folds out twice. This design offers more screen space for things like watching videos or working, while still being compact enough to carry around.
