Explained in plain English

What is voluntary redundancy?

Voluntary redundancy is when a company offers employees the chance to leave their job in exchange for a redundancy payment. It's often used to reduce staff numbers without forced layoffs, allowing employees to decide if the package suits their personal circumstances. JLR is offering this option to its head office staff.
