What is 'spin' in politics?

'Spin' refers to the way politicians or their teams present information to the public to influence opinion in their favour. Trump's denial about wearing a wig, by referencing strong winds at a rally, is a form of spin. He's framing the situation to dismiss the rumour and reinforce his preferred image, rather than directly addressing the underlying speculation.
