What is 'normalising' racism?

Normalising racism and sexism means these harmful attitudes and behaviours become so common they're seen as acceptable or even unremarkable. When public figures or media platforms use racist language or downplay sexism, it can inadvertently make these prejudices seem less serious, eroding societal standards and making it harder to challenge them.
