What is Co Tyrone?

Co Tyrone, or County Tyrone, is one of the six counties of Northern Ireland, located in the west. Omagh, where the bus hijacking began, is its county town, and the chase ended in Strabane, also within Tyrone. It's a largely rural area known for its scenic landscapes and historical sites, playing a significant role in Northern Irish geography.
