What is climate compensation?

Climate compensation, sometimes called 'loss and damage' funding, is money paid by wealthier nations, historically the biggest polluters, to developing countries like Nepal. It's meant to help them recover from climate disasters and adapt to future changes, acknowledging that those who contributed least to climate change often suffer its worst effects.
