What is cabin pressure?

Aircraft flying at high altitudes need to maintain a comfortable and safe environment inside. Cabin pressure is essentially artificial air pressure created within the plane, similar to what you'd experience on the ground. When the Ryanair flight's window broke, this pressure was suddenly lost, causing the air to rush out and partly pull the passenger with it.
