What is anamorphic art?

Anamorphic art is a clever trick where an image looks distorted or unrecognisable until you view it from a specific angle or with a special device. In the Freddie Mercury mural's case, it's painted across the Spanish Steps, so it only comes together perfectly from one particular spot, making the 30ft artwork appear correct.
