Explained in plain English

What is a transfer talk?

When a player moves between football clubs, it's called a transfer. 'Transfer talks' are the negotiations between the buying club, the selling club, and the player's representatives to agree on a fee and personal terms. These talks can be complex, involving agents, lawyers, and club officials, and often happen behind closed doors until a deal is close, as with Salah's move to Trabzonspor.
