Explained in plain English
What is a spacewalk?
A spacewalk, or Extravehicular Activity (EVA), is when an astronaut leaves the protected environment of a spacecraft to work in space. It's a critical and challenging task, often involving repairs, upgrades, or scientific experiments outside the International Space Station, just like Jessica Meir and Anil Menon did to install new solar array hardware.
