What is a loan deal?
Football clubs often use loan deals to bring in players temporarily. Instead of buying Araujo outright, Liverpool have borrowed him from Barcelona for a season. This lets Liverpool boost their squad without a huge transfer fee, and Araujo gets game time, which is often why players are loaned out.
