What are Under-21 teams?
Under-21 teams are development squads within professional football clubs, designed to bridge the gap between youth academies and senior first-team football. They provide a competitive environment for young players to hone their skills and gain match experience against peers, as JJ Gabriel has done by scoring and assisting for Manchester United's Under-21s.
