What are the legal limits?
In England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, the legal alcohol limit for drivers is 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. In Scotland, it's lower at 50 milligrams. Exceeding these limits means you're legally impaired and face serious penalties if caught driving, including fines, driving bans, and even prison time.
