What are synthetic cannabinoids?

Synthetic cannabinoids are man-made chemicals that act on the same brain receptors as THC, the active compound in cannabis. However, they are often much more potent and can have unpredictable and dangerous effects, including seizures, heart problems, and psychosis. Their presence in the seized gummies is a major concern due to these severe health risks.
