What are small satellites for?

The Spectrum rocket carried five small satellites, often called CubeSats or nanosatellites. These compact devices are much cheaper to build and launch than traditional large satellites. They are used for a wide range of purposes, including Earth observation, telecommunications, scientific research, and technology testing, making space more accessible for various organisations.
